"Western Music is part of who I am. I grew up riding and singing western music on a palomino horse from the time I was 10 years old with my dad George, and older brother Jorgen. We've toured all across the United States and Canada known as the Sons of Tennessee. Making an instrumental album true to the sounds of the original Sons Of The Pioneers has been a dream of mine for years. This project Empty Saddles by Artist/Musician Zach Runquist is a fine piece of recorded work. On this collection of western classics, Zach delivers with excellent feel and showcases his versatility on several instruments of which he has mastered well. Zach has chosen classic favorites and gives the songs a new fresh approach while maintaining the integrity of each selection. It's a wonderful blend of Western, Americana, & Hymns in a rich easy listening style. I was honored when Zach invited me to play on a couple of the tracks. Empty Saddles will be an excellent addition to any CD collection.
